Kelsey is a rehabilitative and musculoskeletal physiotherapist who has been working in the industry for over 5 years. She graduated with her Bachelors Degree from the University of South Australia in 2016. Kelsey loves working with the human body. It is how she became a physiotherapist because she fell in love with the incredible way the body moves without you even thinking about it. In Year 11 physical education (PE), she learnt about the names of different body systems and how they work together. How you can pick up your bag without having even thought about which joints or muscles were needed to do that. Kelsey uses her love and knowledge of your body systems including muscles, bones, ligaments and joints to make sure they are working smoothly and communicating with one another.
Kelsey’s other passion is helping clients achieve their goals to make their lives better. Whether that means helping a 10 years old return to playing netball pain free, helping a chronic low back pain sufferer sleep better, helping a client with muscular dystrophy improve their posture or helping a grandparent keep up with their grandchildren. Through massage, hands on therapy and exercise Kelsey will improve your range of motion, strength and function to keep you living your life to the fullest. She loves working with people of all ages especially children and young adults.
Kelsey also has her Diploma in Polestar Pilates Instruction and enjoys helping clients find out how beneficial Pilates and physio supervised exercise classes can be. Her classes are upbeat and fun but will still get you working up a sweat and using muscles you didn’t know you have. Kelsey loves how broad Pilates can be and finds excitement in using the Pilates method for strengthening, stretching, balancing and core work. Kelsey is part of the Education Faculty for Polestar Pilates Australia and is a member of The Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Pilates Alliance of Australasia.
