Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), from the University of SA in 1997.  Immediately following her graduation she worked at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre where she gained invaluable clinical experience in the areas of Orthopaedics, Amputees, General Medical Conditions and Neurological conditions. During this time she worked as part of a large cohesive multi-disciplinary team including allied health professionals, medical and nursing staff, directly responsible for the rehabilitation and successful return to the community of seriously injured patients.

Whilst working over in the United Kingdom she continued working in large hospitals and rehabilitation facilities where she regularly completed ADL assessments for patients before they were to be discharged from these facilities.  Upon her return from overseas she worked for CRS Australia as an Occupational Therapist performing various assessments, case management services and as a rehabilitation consultant for various companies across different industries.

Melissa has worked for Smart Health for over 5 years now as an Occupational Therapist performing Functional Capacity Evaluations and Activities of Daily Living Assessments for the self insured and compensable markets. Melissa sees great benefit in working closely with other members of a large and experienced multidisciplinary team at Smart Health. Together with a cohesive administration team Melissa believes that the Smart Health Medico-Legal Assessment Service is second to none.
